Letter from the Director of Member Selection

Welcome to Tri Delta Chi Chapter Recruitment!

Hi Everyone! My name is Franny Stewart and I have the privilege of serving our Chapter as the Director of Membership Selection this year. I am honored and thrilled to serve in this position. I am from Birmingham Alabama and majoring in IMC with a specialization in Fashion! I have LOVED getting to meet our PNMs and cannot wait to have new baby dolphins in such a short time! I have been continually praying for this new upcoming pledge class and I cannot wait for them to be here.
DLAM,
Franny Stewart

2022 Tri Delta Recruitment Team

Round 1 // Virtual Greek Day

August 13, 2022

Number Visited: All 10 sororities
What to Expect: This year, Greek Day will be held virtually. Potential New Members will virtually visit each of the 10 houses by watching a video from each house. Previously called Water Parties, this day is very informal and allows you to view each house without decoration and truly learn the ideals of each sorority. You’ll learn about sorority life, including the benefits of membership along with financial, academic, and housing obligations of being a member.

What to Wear: Panhellenic provides you with a Greek day shirt to wear and the rest is up to you, dress is very casual.

Round 2 // Philanthropy Day

August 14 & August 15, 2022

Number Visited: Up to 8 sororities
What to Expect: Each sorority will share information about their local and national philanthropy. Philanthropy is a huge part of our chapter, so this round can tell you a lot about each sorority. You’ll learn about our philanthropy and community service.
What to Wear: Panhellenic provides you with a philanthropy day shirt to wear and the rest is up to you, again, dress is very casual. Remember to choose comfortable shoes!

Day off // Break

August 16, 2022

Round 3 // Sisterhood Day

August 17 & August 18, 2022

Number Visited: Up to 5 sororities
What to Expect: These highly energetic parties provide an insight into their sisterhood. You’ll talk with members to gain a greater perspective of their sisterhood and how they celebrate their sorority.
What to Wear: Dressy casual attire, such as a dress, skirt or pants with a blouse, paired with shoes that you can walk in comfortably.

Round 4 // Preference

August 19, 2022

Number Visited: Up to 2 sororities
What to Expect: As this is the final event of formal recruitment, conversation is intimate and more on the serious side. From the sororities you are invited to for this round, you will select the one(s) you wish to receive a membership invitation. This last round allows you to ask last minute questions about our sorority and help make the decision of which house you feel the most comfortable at.
What to Wear: This round is more formal attire, such as a semi-formal or cocktail dress or business attire, paired with comfortable shoes.

Bid Day

Saturday, August 20, 2022

What to Expect: You’ll meet with your recruitment counselor and group in the Grove to receive your membership invitation.
What to Wear: Shorts or pants and a shirt. New members are given letters when they arrive at the sorority.

**Please note: Although there is currently no GPA requirement to participate in Formal Recruitment at Ole Miss, scholarship is very important to the Chi Chapter. The chapter average to extend a bid is a 3.0 GPA. Women with below a 3.0 GPA are advised that they are at a greater risk to be released.
